Therapy

Psychotherapy is a therapeutic approach aimed at helping individuals understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It provides a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore personal challenges and seek solutions. This process often involves talking about feelings and experiences, which can lead to greater self-awareness and insight.

The importance of psychotherapy lies in its ability to foster personal growth, improve mental health, and promote emotional well-being. Through this process, individuals can learn coping strategies, develop healthier relationships, and address issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. By engaging in psychotherapy, individuals gain the tools they need to navigate life's complexities and ultimately enhance their overall quality of life.

Psychological Assessment

Psychological assessment is a systematic process that evaluates an individual's cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. It involves the use of a variety of tools, including interviews, questionnaires, and standardized tests to gather comprehensive information about a person’s mental health and psychological well-being. This service can be beneficial for individuals seeking clarity regarding their mental health status, to understand or receive a diagnosis, or hoping to gain insight into their personal strengths and areas for growth. Psychological assessments can inform treatment decisions, facilitate personal development, and aid in understanding complex symptoms or experiences, ultimately contributing to improved mental health and well-being.

Psychological assessment is unique when it comes to pricing. It is ultimately a matter of the needs of the client and time spent delivering services. Assessment fees can range from $600 to upwards of $2200. The cost is based on time required to address the service needs. A clear sense of cost and needs will be delineated with Dr. Halford upfront, often during the initial free consultation call. At a minimum, a basic ADHD evaluation is generally around $800.

If using insurance, most of the cost is covered, depending on your carrier. See below for more insurance information.
